About our Collection

Welcome to the Local History and Genealogy section of the library. Below you will find a list of our family files and after that a list of family history books and workbooks. The local newspaper is on microfilm from 1831 through 2006. Marriage records from 1814 to 1925 are on microfilm, as are many wills, naturalization records, miscellaneous documents, and the U.S. Census from 1850 to 1920 (with the exception of 1890 which was lost in a fire). The microfilm reader, with the help of the computer next to it, has the capability to print, save to a disk or memory stick, or email the document.

If you have any questions please contact local history-genealogy specialist Barry Brown.
